Do you remember what was happening back in 1990? 25 years ago?
Several major world events happened that year, including the demolition of the Berlin Wall, Nelson Mandela's release from prison, and the start of the Gulf War.
The first seasons of The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and Beverly Hills, 90210 ran in 1990. Milli Vanilli were stripped of their Best New Artist Grammy after it was discovered they did not actually sing the songs on their hit record. And the most complete skeleton of a T-Rex, named Sue, was discovered in South Dakota.
It was also the year that these eight people started their career at ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø…and they are all still working here!
If you've been following this blog, you may already know that we give very special recognition to employees of Klein who reach 25 years of employment. The company hosts a special dinner for all of the new inductees each year and each receives a special gift in commemoration.
This year's inductees represent three of our six manufacturing facilities – Lincolnshire, IL; Elk Grove Village, IL; and Fort Smith, AR.
Their positions range from director-level management to manufacturing group leader to shift operator. Some started their working career at Klein. Some came to Klein at the suggestion of friends or family who already worked here (and some still do!).
These eight honorees join a growing group of amazing people we get to call Klein employees. The ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø 25 Year Club now has well over 100 members, 76 of whom are still full-time employees here.
To say that we are blessed would be a huge understatement. Congratulations to all our 25 year club members and THANK YOU for your loyal service to the company!
